OOHMAA Creative Awards Terms and Conditions
1. About the Awards
The OOHMAA Creative Awards (“Awards”) are organised by the Out of Home Media Association Aotearoa Incorporated (“OOHMAA”).
By submitting an entry, the entrant confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions and the criteria applying to the category entered.
2. Eligibility period
To be eligible, the submitted campaign or execution must have appeared publicly in New Zealand between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026 inclusive.
The work must not have been entered into a previous OOHMAA Awards programme unless OOHMAA has expressly permitted re-entry within the relevant category criteria.
3. Campaign and entrant eligibility
To qualify for entry:
each submitted Out of Home execution must have appeared on media owned, operated or represented by an OOHMAA member at the time it ran;
the campaign’s creative execution and/or media planning must have been substantially developed in New Zealand by a New Zealand-based agency or advertiser;
the campaign must comply with all applicable New Zealand laws, regulations, industry codes and advertising standards; and
the entrant must be authorised by the advertiser and all other relevant rights holders to submit the campaign.
Entries may be submitted by an advertiser, creative agency, media agency, production company or OOHMAA member involved in the campaign, provided all required approvals have been obtained.
Additional eligibility requirements may apply to individual categories. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the published category criteria, the category criteria will apply to that category.
4. Entry period and submission requirements
Entries open on 10 September 2026 and close at 11.59pm NZT on 5 November 2026. OOHMAA may, at its discretion, extend the closing date.
Entries must be submitted through the official entry platform and include all mandatory information and supporting material requested.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring their entries are complete, accurate and successfully received before the closing date. OOHMAA is not responsible for delayed, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected or unsuccessful submissions resulting from technical problems or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
A campaign may be entered into more than one category where it meets the criteria for each category. A separate entry may be required for each category.
All eligible entries will also be entered into the World Out of Home Organization’s Awards 2027 in the relevant category. Entry into that programme is administered by the World Out of Home Organization and is subject to its own terms, criteria and judging process. OOHMAH disclaims all liability in connection with an entrant’s entry into the World Out of Home Awards.
5. Accuracy and supporting evidence
The entrant confirms that all information supplied in an entry – including campaign dates, credits, results, data and performance claims – is true, accurate and not misleading.
OOHMAA may request further information, evidence or permissions at any stage. Failure to provide satisfactory supporting information within the timeframe requested may result in the entry being amended, moved to another category or disqualified.
OOHMAA may correct minor formatting or typographical errors but is not responsible for errors or omissions reproduced from material supplied by an entrant.
6. Permissions and intellectual property
The entrant confirms and warrants that:
they are authorised to submit the entry;
the advertiser has approved the campaign’s submission;
the submitted material does not infringe any person’s copyright, trade mark, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
all necessary permissions, licences and releases have been obtained from clients, agencies, photographers, talent, musicians, production partners and other relevant third parties; and
OOHMAA’s permitted use of the submitted material under these Terms and Conditions will not infringe the rights of any third party.
Ownership of the submitted material remains with its existing owner.
By submitting an entry, the entrant grants OOHMAA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish, display, communicate, crop, resize and edit the submitted material for length or format for purposes connected with:
administering and judging the Awards;
announcing and promoting entrants, finalists and winners;
the OOHMAA website, social media channels, newsletters and articles;
Awards events, presentations and publications;
educational material, case studies and industry promotion; and
promoting current or future OOHMAA Awards programmes; and
submitting the entry to the World Out of Home Organization’s Awards and any related judging, publication or promotion by that organisation.
OOHMAA will not intentionally edit submitted material in a way that materially misrepresents the campaign.
Where reasonably practicable, OOHMAA will acknowledge the advertiser and credited agencies when publishing an entry. OOHMAA cannot guarantee that every supplied credit will appear in every use or format.
7. Confidential information
Entries should not contain confidential, commercially sensitive or embargoed information that cannot be disclosed to OOHMAA, the judges or the public.
Unless OOHMAA has expressly agreed otherwise in writing before submission, entrants should assume that submitted material may be published if the entry becomes a finalist or winner, and that it may be disclosed to the World Out of Home Organization and its judges in connection with the World Out of Home Organization’s Awards.
OOHMAA and the judges may use non-public entry information for judging and administration of the Awards.
8. Judging
Eligible entries will be assessed against the published criteria by a judging panel appointed by OOHMAA.
OOHMAH will use reasonable endeavours to have judges disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest and may exclude them from discussing or scoring an affected entry.
OOHMAA may:
verify the eligibility and accuracy of an entry;
move an entry to a more appropriate category after consulting the entrant where reasonably practicable;
combine, rename or withdraw a category if there are insufficient eligible entries;
decide not to select a finalist or winner in any category; and
disqualify an entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or the category criteria.
The judges’ and OOHMAA’s decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding scores, deliberations or final decisions, except where OOHMAA chooses to provide general feedback.
9. Finalists and winners
Finalists and winners may be required to confirm campaign credits, eligibility information and publication approvals before being publicly announced.
OOHMAA may withhold or withdraw finalist or winner status if:
information supplied in the entry is inaccurate, misleading or cannot be substantiated;
required permissions have not been obtained;
the entrant or campaign breaches these Terms and Conditions;
the campaign is found to breach applicable law or an industry code; or
circumstances arise that, in OOHMAA’s reasonable opinion, could materially affect the integrity or reputation of the Awards.
Entrants agree that OOHMAA may announce and publish the names of the advertiser, campaign, entrant, credited organisations, finalists and winners.
10. Prizes
Each category winner will receive a $1,000 Pressie Card.
The Supreme Award winner will receive the Supreme Prize: a trip for two campaign representatives to attend the World Out of Home Organization Annual Congress in Singapore in June 2027, including return premium economy airfares from each recipient’s nearest major New Zealand airport to Singapore, return airport transfers between Changi Airport and the recipients’ hotel in Singapore, four nights’ accommodation in Singapore with one room provided for each recipient, and one World Out of Home Organization Annual Congress registration for each recipient.
The Supreme Prize is also subject to the additional conditions set out in Schedule 1 (Supreme Prize conditions), which form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Prizes are subject to availability and any additional conditions notified by OOHMAA. Unless OOHMAA agrees otherwise, prizes:
are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, except as expressly permitted in Schedule 1;
must be accepted within the timeframe specified by OOHMAA; and
may be substituted with a prize of similar nature and value at OOHMAH’s discretion.
Recipients are responsible for satisfying any eligibility, travel, passport, visa, insurance or other requirements applying to a prize. Any costs not expressly stated as included are the recipient’s responsibility. Prizes may be subject to third party terms and conditions. OOHMAH disclaims all liability in relation to such third party terms or their impact on a winner’s ability to use or enjoy any prize.
11. Privacy
OOHMAA will collect and use personal information supplied through the entry process to administer, judge and promote the Awards; contact entrants; verify eligibility and permissions; and announce finalists and winners.
Information may be shared with OOHMAA staff and contractors, the judging panel, event and technology providers, and other parties involved in administering or promoting the Awards. Finalist and winner names, job titles, organisations and campaign credits may be published.
Providing the information requested in mandatory fields is voluntary, but OOHMAA may be unable to accept or assess an entry if it is not provided.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and OOHMAA’s privacy policy. Individuals may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting Gabrielle de Jong, Marketing Manager, Gabrielle@oohmaa.co.nz. OOHMAA’s address is 206 Jervois Road, Herne Bay, Auckland.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OOHMAA is not responsible for:
any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from participation in the Awards or acceptance or use of a prize;
technical failures, interrupted access or lost, delayed, corrupted or incomplete submissions;
errors or omissions contained in material supplied by an entrant; or
circumstances beyond OOHMAA’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
The entrant is responsible for addressing any third-party claim arising from material they submitted or from a breach of the confirmations and warranties given under these Terms and Conditions and indemnifies OOHMAH for any resulting loss or damage.
13. Changes, postponement or cancellation
OOHMAA may amend these Terms and Conditions or the Awards programme where reasonably necessary. Any material change will be communicated through the Awards website or directly to affected entrants.
OOHMAA may, without liability to any entrant, postpone, suspend or cancel the Awards, a category, an announcement or an event where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.

Schedule 1 – Supreme Prize conditions
The Supreme Award winner will receive a trip for two campaign representatives to attend the World Out of Home Organization Annual Congress in Singapore in June 2027.
The prize is intended to recognise both the creative and advertising team that delivered the campaign. The winning entrant may nominate two people who materially contributed to the campaign. Wherever practicable, the nominated representatives should include:
one person representing the campaign’s creative contribution; and
one person representing the advertiser or brand.
OOHMAA recognises that campaigns are developed through a range of working arrangements, including creative and media agencies, in-house teams, independent creatives, production partners and collaborative teams. Where the structure of the winning campaign does not fit the representation outlined above, OOHMAA may approve two other appropriate campaign contributors.
The prize includes:
return premium economy airfares from each recipient’s nearest major New Zealand airport to Singapore;
return airport transfers between Changi Airport and the recipients’ hotel in Singapore;
four nights’ accommodation in Singapore, with one room provided for each recipient; and
one World Out of Home Organization Annual Congress registration for each recipient.
Unless expressly confirmed by OOHMAA, the prize does not include passports, visas, domestic or overseas travel insurance, meals, drinks, transport to and from the recipient’s domestic airport terminal, car parking, car hire, transport outside New Zealand (other than the airport transfers between Changi Airport and the recipients’ hotel in Singapore), personal expenses, additional accommodation or any other incidental costs.
Selection of recipients
The winning entrant must nominate the two proposed recipients within the timeframe advised by OOHMAA. Each nominee must:
be aged 18 years or older;
have materially contributed to the winning campaign;
consent to being nominated and provide the information reasonably required to arrange the prize; and
be legally able and available to travel to Singapore on the required dates.
Nominations are subject to OOHMAA’s approval to ensure they are consistent with the purpose of the prize. Approval will not be unreasonably withheld.
If an approved recipient is unable to travel, the winning entrant may nominate another eligible person who materially contributed to the campaign, subject to OOHMAA’s approval and any booking, airline or supplier restrictions. Any additional costs resulting from a change made after bookings have been confirmed may be the responsibility of the winning entrant or replacement recipient.
Accessibility and inclusion
OOHMAA is committed to making the prize reasonably accessible and inclusive. Recipients are encouraged to advise OOHMAA of any accessibility requirements as early as possible. OOHMAA will work in good faith with recipients and its travel and event partners to identify reasonable accommodations, subject to availability, operational requirements and reasonable cost.
Where a recipient cannot travel because of accessibility, health or other significant personal circumstances, OOHMAA may work with the winning entrant to approve an alternative eligible campaign representative. Any alternative arrangement or additional support will be considered by OOHMAA on a case-by-case basis.
Prize conditions
Travel dates, accommodation, airlines, flight routes and Congress arrangements will be determined by OOHMAA in consultation with the recipients and are subject to availability.
The prize:
cannot be exchanged for cash or credit;
cannot be sold or transferred to anyone who did not materially contribute to the winning campaign;
may not be deferred to a later World Out of Home Organization Congress; and
must be used for the 2027 Congress unless OOHMAA agrees otherwise in writing.
Recipients are responsible for obtaining valid passports, any required visas and appropriate travel insurance. If the Congress is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, or travel cannot proceed for reasons outside OOHMAA’s reasonable control, OOHMAA may substitute the prize with an alternative of reasonably comparable value. OOHMAA is not required to provide a cash alternative.
